Capillaries, Veins & Cherry Angioma Removal
Doctor Maria Clinic425a Hampton Street, Hampton VIC 3188Show on map
A targeted vascular laser treatment designed to reduce visible capillaries, spider veins, cherry angiomas and other suitable vascular lesions. Fotona’s Nd:YAG laser delivers controlled energy that is absorbed by blood within the targeted vessel, generating heat that closes the vessel while minimising impact on the surrounding skin. The body then gradually clears the treated vessel through its natural processes. Treatment settings are individually adjusted according to the vessel’s size, depth, colour and location.

Treatment Information
- Treatment Type
- Non-ablative long-pulsed 1064 nm Nd:YAG vascular laser treatment
- Results
- Visible vessels and vascular spots gradually fade or become significantly less noticeable, creating clearer and more evenly toned skin. Some small superficial lesions may respond after one session, while larger, deeper or more extensive vessels may require a treatment course.
- Longevity of Effect
- Reduction of successfully treated vessels can be long-lasting. However, new capillaries, veins or angiomas may develop over time due to genetics, ageing, hormonal factors, sun exposure or underlying vascular conditions.
- Number of Sessions
- One or more treatments, depending on the type, size, depth and number of vessels.
- Interval Between Sessions
- 4–8 weeks
- Downtime
- Little to no functional downtime. Visible reactions may remain for several days depending on the vessels treated and the treatment intensity.
- Possible Reactions
- Temporary redness, warmth, swelling, tenderness or bruising may occur. Treated vessels can temporarily appear darker or more prominent before gradually fading. Small areas of crusting may occasionally develop.
- Pain Level
- Mild to moderate. Patients may experience brief heat, stinging or a snapping sensation during treatment.
- After-care
- Your clinician will provide personalised aftercare instructions and ongoing support according to the vessels treated and your individual skin response.
